Stunning detached property transformed through structural alterations and the installation of a new bi-fold door opening. By removing internal barriers and creating a larger, open-plan living space, the client achieved a brighter, more modern home with improved flow between the kitchen, dining and garden areas.

Prior to the structural alterations, the building was carefully propped and needled to safely support the existing structure while the new steel beam was installed. This ensured the load was fully supported throughout the works, allowing the opening to be formed safely and in accordance with the structural engineer’s design.

The steel beams were installed and the existing brickwork carefully removed both internally and externally to create this large, open and spacious living area. The result is a seamless transition between spaces, transforming the feel of the property and allowing significantly more natural light into the home.

Large timber bi-fold doors were supplied and installed to the client’s specification, creating a striking feature opening and providing a seamless connection between the home and garden. The finished result maximises natural light and enhances the sense of space throughout the property.
